"WUNDERLAND.WEST: Our biggest news these days is that we’ve bought a second house, out in beautiful Cumberland, Maryland! If you’ve been following our story for long enough, you’ll know we’ve been contemplating some sort of move for decades… at long last we’ve chosen this awesome little city on the western end of our state, about a 2 hour drive away. We will be spending a lot of time out there, but we’ll also be returning to our original home, regularly and often. But we will eventually be closing down the Looney Labs office in College Park. Between the two buildings we now own, the business will have more than enough room to operate, and we will get significant savings by eliminating that rental cost. There’s a lot more to this story but I want to keep it short here… feel free to ask us questions about this whenever you see us!"

"SEVEN ISLANDS: Have you heard about my newest game yet? It’s really cool. It’s got a lot of the same DNA as Fluxx, with goals that change, Action cards that are literally the same as certain Fluxx Actions, and Gear cards that are basically Keepers. But it also has a completely new board game element, with each player controlling a pair of tokens that move around on an ever-expanding gameboard made of terrain cards. I’ve been describing it as a cross between Fluxx and Carcassonne. There’s even a solitare version, which presents a very different challenge, rather like solving a puzzle, by creating a perfect 7-island archipelago with bridges connecting each island and all the islands properly edged with beaches. And Seven Islands  just looks beautiful on the table, with fabulous art by Robin Sevakis, the same illustrator who did the art for Cat Fluxx and Dog Fluxx."

"30TH ANNIVERSARY: It was 30 years ago last month, on July 24th 1996, that I first had the ideas for Fluxx. It was such an important day in our history that we always like to celebrate it, especially when it’s a big round number. So, for our 30th Anniversary, we did several things. First, we made a really cool piece of miniature luggage we call the Little Purple Bag. It’s just the right size to hold your favorite Looney Labs game, it has a see-through window so you can see which one it is, there’s a clip to carry it on your wrist or attach it to your backpack, it comes with seven Fluxx promo cards (most of which promote Seven Islands, which was released on the same day), and it has the 30th anniversary version of our logo on the back. It’s wonderful, but it’s also a limited edition, so get yours today! We also made a 30th anniversary pin, and we threw a big birthday party for Fluxx at Origins. Fluxx has done pretty well for us these past 30 years… what will the next 30 bring?"
