"History Initially, the UES established four primary schools in Baltistan and later the education system was spread all over Pakistan. The UES is a community-based, local-ownership and non-commercial, with 3-tire monitoring and regulated quality, education system; Local Education Committee (LEC), Regional Education Committee (REC), and Central Education Committee (CEC). Some of the Uswa institutions have their own independent Board of Governors with representatives from JBHT and UES. At present (2024), 70 institutes are working under the UES, in Baltistan, Gilgit, Bangash, Kurram, AJK and in Sindh.
