"Perkisound is a unique, innovative and musically inspired recreation centre for people with additional needs, their families, friends and carers, based in the grounds of a 2.5 acre former garden centre in North Warwickshire. Although the centre has a remote rural feel, we are conveniently located off a main road not far from Coventry, Nuneaton, Solihull, Birmingham, and Tamworth, with plenty of secure parking on site. Perkisound provides a safe place to play, learn, relax and develop through music and recreation. We aim to promote general health and well-being, a space where people can express themselves freely and with confidence. What makes our service stand out is that our focus is on exclusive/private use and it is suitable for all ages."

"Tim and Susie Perkins are both professional musicians and music teachers. The idea to start up a centre was inspired by their autistic son who loves music and visual art. We were influenced by the facilities available for children with additional needs in Oxfordshire where we lived from 2004 – 2014 and frustrated by the lack of facilities in Warwickshire & West Midlands where we relocated in 2014.  On first viewing of the site, we instantly saw an opportunity to create something different to help our son and others like him. The centre was registered in 2017 as a Community Interest Company and officially opened in April 2018 with a series of 6 open weekends featuring bouncy castles and various musical activities. During 2019 we converted to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and changed our focus from group events to exclusive use / private bookings; this has by far been the most successful and popular option, although we do still offer occasional group events and a term-time baby/toddler music sessions. Moving forward to 2025, the centre has developed beyond recognition and features an impressive range of varied facilities suitable for all ages and abilities.
